BROADWAY ACROSS AMERICA-BOSTON
Accessible Services for the upcoming 2009-2010 Season

During the upcoming 2009-2010 Broadway Across America-Boston Season the following Audio Described, Open Captioned and American Sign Language Interpreted performances will be available at both Boston's Colonial Theatre and the Boston Opera House.
AMERICAN SIGN LANGUAGE INTERPRETED PERFORMANCES
During ASL Interpreted performances, qualified Interpreters convey the story, dialogue and other elements to Deaf and Hard of Hearing Patrons. ASL section seats are available in the orchestra, permitting patrons to see both the stage and the Interpreters simultaneously.

OPEN CAPTIONED PERFORMANCES
During Open Captioned Performances, an electronic text display is placed to the side of the stage which shows what the performers are saying and singing while also describing any sound effects on stage for our Deaf and Hard of Hearing Patrons. AUDIO DESCRIBED PERFORMANCES
During these performances, a specially trained describer will narrate what is happening on stage during pauses in dialogue. The describer uses a headset and microphone while our Visually Impaired patrons listen through an earpiece receiver.
